Meet the Team

Artistic Director
In 2022, Hannes founded Moonwalking Bear Productions as a home for creative ideas, a hub for innovation and collaboration,
and a launch pad to support new talent.
Throughout his career, Hannes has worked and collaborated with numerous artists and companies in Europe and beyond. These include William Forsythe, Angélin Préljocaj, Wayne McGregor, Akram Khan, Fabulous Beast and Punchdrunk to name a few.
In 2007, he joined DV8 Physical Theatre, starting a long-term relationship with the company by forming part of the original cast of the critically acclaimed stage production “To Be Straight With You" (nominated for an Olivier Award). This was followed by “Can We Talk About This?” (2010-2012), and “JOHN” (2013-2015) in which he performed the title role.
All three productions, conceived and directed by Lloyd Newson, toured internationally and enjoyed sell-out seasons at The National Theatre, London. Hannes became DV8’s Creative Associate in 2014 and continued this role for the much-anticipated re-creation of ”Enter Achilles” in 2019/20 as well as being the production’s Tour Director.
Hannes duetted with Akram Khan in “Breathless Puppets”, an animated film produced during the pandemic by Manchester International Festival.
As an independent artist, Hannes has choreographed and directed numerous productions for stage and screen, including “DANDELION” (with Ermira Goro for The Onassis Cultural Center in Athens), “UNRUHE” (for and with the Susanne Linke Dance Company) and “THE FALL” (Supported by Orsolina28 and SkyArts).
Hannes most recently worked with Lena Dunham, choreographing for the movie “Catherine Called Birdy” and was Co-Movement Director for "DEAR ENGLAND" at the National Theatre, written by James Graham and directed by Rupert Goold..
He is a celebrated creator and educator working for institutions and organisations across the globe, and he was nominated as one of the 100 most influential and innovative people working across Britain's creative industries by The Hospital Club, London.

Producer
Louise Eltringham
Louise trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. In a career that has spanned nearly thirty years she has produced numerous productions that have toured nationally and internationally.
From 2007 – 2016 Louise was senior producer for DV8 Physical Theatre. Working closely with Lloyd Newson she helped to bring To Be Straight With You, Can We Talk About This? and JOHN to the international stage and was part of the team that delivered three sell-out seasons at The National Theatre, London.
Since 2016 Louise has been Executive Producer of the Birmingham Stage Company. The BSC is recognised as one of the world leaders in children’s theatre and works with some of Britain's finest living writers including Michael Morpurgo, Liz Pichon, David Almond, Philip Pullman & David Walliams. Since joining the company, Louise has overseen several major stage adaptations that have performed in London’s West End and have toured throughout the UK.
She is incredibly proud of the work the company does in inspiring the next generation of theatre-goers.
Louise is thrilled to be working with Hannes again on Moonwalking Bear’s productions and vision.
